IMPORTANT: This policy includes a strictly non-refundable deposit and no refunds after team declaration.
Registration & Refund Policy – Edmonton Strikers SC
The Edmonton Strikers Soccer Club is a non-profit organization. Upon registration, the club immediately incurs costs including (but not limited to) league fees, field permits, insurance, administration, and team planning. As such, the following refund policy applies to all registrations.
Non-Refundable Deposit
A $250 deposit is required to secure a player’s spot.
🔴 This deposit is strictly non-refundable under all circumstances, including but not limited to withdrawal, schedule conflicts, dissatisfaction, injury (non-medical withdrawal), or a decision to join another club.
Refund Requests Within 3 Days
Refund requests submitted within three (3) days of the original registration date:
- The $250 deposit will be retained
- Any additional amount paid may be refunded at the sole discretion of the club
Refund Requests After 3 Days (Before Team Declaration)
After three (3) days from the date of registration:
- The $250 deposit remains non-refundable
- Any remaining balance may be partially refunded at the sole discretion of the club, provided the player withdraws before teams are officially declared
After Teams Are Declared
Once teams are officially declared and rosters are submitted to the league:
🔴 No refunds will be issued under any circumstances
This includes (but is not limited to):
- Withdrawal from the program
- Non-attendance
- Schedule conflicts
- Playing time concerns
- Dissatisfaction with team placement, coaching decisions, or team environment
Player Withdrawal / Non-Attendance
- Failure to attend does not constitute formal withdrawal
- No refunds will be issued for players who choose not to participate after registering
Player Transfers
If a player chooses to leave Edmonton Strikers SC to join another club:
- 🔴 No refund will be issued
- The player may be subject to applicable transfer fees as per EMSA regulations
Medical / Injury Exception
Refund requests due to medical reasons:
- Must include valid medical documentation
- Will be reviewed at the sole discretion of the club
- The $250 deposit remains non-refundable
Program Changes / External Factors
No refunds will be issued due to circumstances beyond the club’s control, including but not limited to:
- Schedule changes
- Field or facility changes
- Weather interruptions
- League decisions or modifications
- Shortened or altered seasons
Refund Request Process
All refund requests must be submitted in writing by email to:

- Player name
- Team / age group
- Reason for withdrawal
Administrative Costs
By registering, families acknowledge that fees collected are used to cover operational and administrative costs already incurred by the club and are not held in reserve.
Agreement
By completing registration and signing this waiver, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the Edmonton Strikers SC Registration & Refund Policy. You understand that this agreement is binding.
